My Creative Journey
My love of arts and crafts goes back to childhood and the encouragement of my wonderful
grandmother in London, where I grew up. Her image has become my avatar. Born in to an impoverished family in 1895, her father died in the Workhouse when she
was just two. A total inspiration, who taught me to sew, sing and appreciate music and the theatre.
When my children were small I became involved in dressmaking, decorating and soft toy making for trendy shops followed by porcelain doll making. The latter saw me travelling the world teaching and judging competitions.
Card making crept up on me and now I am hooked ! As a member of Joanna's Design Team I love to come up with new ideas using the latest products. I was fortunate enough to appear on television demonstrating which was quite an experience !
Researching my family history has been a major part of my life for the last eighteen months. I have traced my father's side back to 1755 and possibly the late 1600's. My aim is to combine this with Scrapbooking for the more recent years.
Whether it be listening to music or getting involved with interior design, I am happy as long as I am expressing my creativity.
